A native of Chapel Hill, N.C., Shari attended Leon’s Beauty School in Greensboro.  In 2006, she moved to Wilmington to work as a cosmetology instructor.  Shortly thereafter, she and her family opened three Solar Hair salons which remained in operation until 2023.  A year later, she brought her decades of experience both as a stylist and salon owner to Beyond Basics, along with a keen interest in the operations of a larger salon.  Shari loves creating wearable hairstyles and coloring hair, especially blonding.  She’s also a master at perming hair to support specific hairstyles.

During off-hours, she enjoys relaxing with a good thriller novel.
