Heidi has more than 16 years of experience as a stylist.  She studied cosmetology in upstate New York, after which she did a two-year apprenticeship with her cosmetology teacher. She moved to Wilmington to follow the sun in 1997 and joined Beyond Basics nine years ago.  While Heidi is known for her versatility, she especially enjoys coloring hair and cutting short hair.  She thinks of working with her clients as a collaboration, one she translates into a classic or trendier look.  Speaking of translating, Heidi is fluent in German, a language she learned from her German parents before she learned English.  She’s also avid about working out, cooking and watching football in a household with three children, three dogs and four cats.
