A graduate of Cape Fear Community College’s Cosmetology School, Cameron joined Beyond Basics in 2026. Born and raised in nearby Hampstead, Cameron has had a colorful history, literally. In high school, he performed in the Color Guard. Of special note was his team’s participation in the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade, the second largest nationally televised Thanksgiving parade. They performed as well in one of Disney World’s 50 th Anniversary parades. Upon graduation, Cameron served, over a three-year period, as an instructor for the Color Guard, designing six different shows, from tarps and silks to props, hair, makeup and costumes. He took care of both hair and makeup for 10-20 students per season, per performance.

It‘s no wonder that he found his way into hair styling as a profession. As a stylist, he’s intent upon instilling clients with confidence in their appearance. Cameron continues to pursue various crafts in his off hours, among them painting and felting. Proficient in Spanish, he also seeks opportunities to practice his language skills.
